Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can sleep on the bus?

The bus has room for 6 guests. All beds are fully equipped with electricity, lighting, netted storage and a privacy curtain

Does the bus have a toilet and shower?

Yes and no... We do have a chemical toilet on board, however, we intend only to use this for emergencies. As we will be stopping at campground facilities each night there will be toilet blocks and hot showers available.

Who drives the bus?

If you are coming along on one of our 5-day adventure trips around the highlands the bus will be driven by our founder Angus. Throughout the week Angus and potentially one other member of The Bonnie Camper crew will host your trip and supply you with everything from food to mountain bikes.

Should I get travel insurance?

As the trip involves a large amount of outdoor activities we do recommend that you purchase travel insurance should the worst happen.

What if I don't want to take part in all the activities?

This is no problem at all! The great thing about the areas that we visit in the bus is that there is plenty to do. So, if you are not quite feeling up for an afternoon of kayaking you are more than welcome to venture into the local towns or take a hike up one of the surrounding mountains.

Is there a veggie / vegan food option?

Yes, of course! As part of the booking process we kindly ask you to fill in your dietary requirements so that we can accommodate to your preferences.

As much as we love our furry friends we unfortuantly don't currently allow dogs on the bus.
